About Sean

Sean Patrick Martin is a criminal defense attorney based in Northeast Ohio. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Bowling Green State University and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2013. After passing the Ohio Bar in 2014, Sean served as an assistant prosecutor in Champaign and Ashtabula counties, and worked with the Toledo Public Defender’s Office before establishing his own law practice in 2015. He currently represents clients in a range of criminal and juvenile matters across multiple counties in Ohio.

Outside of the courtroom, Sean is the creator and host of Potentially Criminal, a livestream and digital media channel that covers trials, legal news, and high-profile cases. The show offers real-time trial coverage and in-depth legal commentary, breaking down complex court proceedings in a way that is accessible and informative for a general audience.

With a focus on clarity, accuracy, and public understanding, Sean uses his professional experience to explain the real-world implications of legal strategies, courtroom procedures, and case law. What began as a small livestream has grown into a full-fledged platform with an engaged community. Potentially Criminal blends legal education with media analysis, often exploring the cultural and social dynamics surrounding major cases. The show aims to make legal issues understandable to non-lawyers without watering down the substance.

Sean is also the host of Sean’s Model Bench, a separate livestream and video channel dedicated to scale model building. The show features step-by-step construction, painting techniques, and historical commentary on the subjects being built—typically tanks, aircraft, and vehicles from World War II. Model Bench provides a creative outlet for Sean’s passion for military history and craftsmanship, and has developed its own following among hobbyists and history enthusiasts.
